Our senior classroom have enjoyed working their way through the Roots of Empathy programme this year. They worked with Baby Nell, her mom Lorraine and ROE Instructor Múinteoir Neasa. The children learnt about putting a baby to sleep on their back to prevent sudden infant death syndrome, never shake a baby and the dangers of alcohol in pregnancy. They learnt the language of emotional literacy and observed the attachment between Baby Nell and Lorraine.
